Stewart gained much of his operations experience during 10 years as general manager at Marmot Mountain Works, specializing in high-end outdoor retail and mail order. He also has 15 years of experience in Yosemite classics, big-wall rock climbing and alpine mountaineering. Now a cyclist, he and his wife just completed a 10-race season consisting of 24-hour, 50-mile and 12-hour mountain bike races. Stewart has yet to master the art of changing gears, so he rides on his Niner single speed.
Stewart holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
For a guy whose joints were beginning to "talk" to him, the chance to be a part of Joint Juice, Inc. was both exciting and relevant. David believes that being in near-constant motion is not only a goal, but also a source of true enjoyment.
Prior to joining Joint Juice, Inc., David was the vice president and general manager at Red Bull, responsible for the western United States. He began his career in consumer products at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream. During his 17 years at Dreyer's, David held many sales and marketing positions, the last being senior vice president of marketing.
David earned his bachelor's degree in marketing at San Diego State University.
A three-sport athlete – swimming, rowing and basketball – David loves a challenge, from trekking in Nepal to deciphering a balance sheet. His interest in nutrition and high performance date from his youth when he discovered wheat germ and organic foods. After stints at leading food companies – PowerBar, Dole, and Del Monte Fresh Produce – David spent 12 years in high tech at AvantGo, QRS, Agilent, Art.com and Satmetrix. He has taken six companies public and completed over $20B of financial transactions. David has a BA in Economics from Yale and a MBA in Finance from NYU.
Being active has always been a part of Darcy's life, from running track in college to her current "competitive" sport of yoga.
Prior to joining Joint Juice, Inc., Darcy was the marketing director at Timbuk2 Designs, a small San Francisco messenger bag company. However, she spent most of her marketing career at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream managing the Dreyer's, Drumstick and Eskimo Pie brands. Before that, she spent four years in finance at Ernst & Young as an auditor and a mergers and acquisitions consultant.
Darcy holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University, an MBA from NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and is a certified public accountant.
